Unbelievable. Lamarr lies to Barack and he calls him on it. How dare that uppity legally elected with a majority President argue with a white man! ANY white man! Even Joe the Plumber! He is, after all, a NEGRO!!!! Can't use that other N word.
This is the best example of how racist the right wing is. I am a white man. ANY white man will tell you that no matter where he is, there are many VERY racist white guys who can use the N word very easily. Funny that of most of my old friends, only the ones from Florida can use that work easily. I NEVER use it. But every time I hear one of those scumbag racist Senators or Congressmen talk about Obama, you can almost hear either, "boy" or the N word after everything they say about him.
AND YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!
Listen to what the morons say, that health reform is for "those" people. Like my sisters? And family? This is a sick group of Republicans that are ruining this country. They are not Republicans, they are ultra right reactionary anti-patriotic maniacs. Obama is more right wing than Nixon! You don't believe me? Check out what Nixon almost passed for Health Care. He would have been remembered as one of the GREATS. Really. I didn't believe it at first either. Go read history book on him. Freaky guy.

Rampant racism. So often the comment is "it's so much better than it used to be..." Just not good enough. I remember being shocked when I was ten and we had just moved to south FL and so many of the kids used the N word quite casually. A sign that they weren't thinking they were being daring, but rather that they were used to hearing it at home. They called me N-lover because I spoke up about how ugly a word it was. I'm thankful that's how I was raised. Jump forward many decades. My upbringing was very urban, but my kids were born and raised on the reservation and are enrolled Wasco Indian. That is a Pacific Northwest Tribe. The small farm town (shades of Homestead) which was closest to the rez' was as good old boy white as any southern town. In the grocery store before the days of debit cards (geez I'm old!) the checker would see that my address on my check was the rez' and always ask for ID. Not the white person ahead of me though. To balance the view however, when we moved to Corvallis for a couple years while my husband got his masters, the school system was DELIGHTED to have Native American kids enrolled and we were invited by multiple classes to visit with regalia (traditional clothing) and various cultural items for the kids to see and ask questions, and of course we danced to pow wow tapes for them. I guess my point is that racism and bigotry are deeply seated in our population and needless to say our government as well. The curriculum in schools is a major factor in how kids understand the Native population, and certainly generational racism plays a big role. Discussions like this one can't hurt.
Well, Kat, I will write about how I learned what the N word was soon. And the story of Mark and me when We went to the Klan meeting. All fits together in a sad pattern of life.
